F RESHME . FRESHMAN CLASS OFFICERS: Linda Mason, Vice President: Phil Geissler, President: Karen Tomczak, Secretary: Penny Kephart, Treasurer. On September 9, 1958, one hundred and sixty- nine Greenies proudly entered the doors of Van Wert High School only to find ourselves com- pletely lost in the confusion. After a few weeks we settled down to the routine business of school and elected our class ofhcers. The ballots were counted and we had elected Phil Geissler as our president, Linda Mason as our vice president, Karen Tom- czak as our secretary and Penny Kephart as our treasurer. To represent our class on the student council we chose Mary Weirwille, Ronnie Walters, Donna DuChenney, and Connie Bagley. We are proud of the many freshmen who were active members of the High School band, fresh- man chorus, and our four reserve cheerleaders. Also we are proud to have three of our boys on the varsity football squad and twenty-five on the re- serve squad. Four of our Freshmen served on the Rendezvous Committee. To take part in the Homecoming festivities, Mary Weirwille was chosen as the queenis at- tendant from the Freshman class. With this year behind us we are leaving our place as ugreeniesw to go to new and better ex- periences.
