Bottom: Juniors bend their efforts 0 E On May seventeenth, the juniors hon- ored the seniors with a prom. In keeping with the theme, A Stranger in Paradise, Lincoln gym was transformed into a beau- tiful Oriental garden. Colorful murals de- picted cherry trees in bloom, flower gar- dens, and country landscape. Japanese lanterns defined the lavender crepe paper ceiling, and in the corner were colored lights spotting four delicate fountain sprays. Dancing was from nine to twelve to the music of Woody Neff and his orchestra. Chris Grimths, the junior class president, welcomed the guests, and Ron Dierks, the senior class president, responded. The Etz- ler sisters entertained with singing at intermission. The service clubs of Van Wert spon- sored another all-night party this year. Prom, a double-feature movie, refresh- ments and games at the Armory, and breakfast at the Presbyterian Church kept the promenaders happy from dusk to dawn. Filmy formals, divine dates, and mood music made this a Prom to be long remembered.
