Each team played each other teznm twice, and the Juniors emerged if with live victories and one defeat, that being bv the Seniors in the first clash of the season. 5, . ls ,N The Juniors will be given very stiff opposition next year by the other teams. This was shown when the Sophomores led the teams with an average of twenty-live points per game. Each girl on each of the teams was given an opportunity to captain a game. 'N ACKLEYTGU0Td Art One of the fastest guards in this part of the state with plenty of speed and an eye for the rim. Art is a Junior and has one more year to play with the Cougars. 'CLIFTON-Forward Dutch', Playing his final year for the Scarlet and Gray Dutch was one of the main cogs in our olfense and uncanny on short shots for the basket. The Cougars will have a prob- lem to fill his place next year. GREEfNEWALD1GUdTd Greeny This was Dale's fourth year on the squad but his first on the Varsity. When Dale got Hot V. W.'s score took a balloon ride. His guarding also kept the opponents' score in the cellar. Dale also is lost through graduation next spring. V COLElFlO7 LOCl?'d Kenny', His hall-handling and passing made him n stellar forward and no one loves the game more than Kenny. No one plays harder on the court than Don. Don is another Senior and his shoes will have a hard time finding an occupant. FELGER-Center G.P. Handled the tip-oil' position and was the steadiest and coolest player V. W.'s ever had. Also one of the best scorers in the Cougar line-up. This is G. P.'s third and last year on the squad and he'll sure be missed next year. RADIKER-Guard Hao-ki' Hack's close guarding always made him a threat to all opponents and few were the points his man scored. His steady playing always showed up in the pinches and he always came out on top. Hack's another player who will he missed next season. Page Twenty-tlzrrfa

Girls' Gym Work Under the splendid instructions of our physical education teacher, the girls have spent a very profitable year. In the fall the fundamentals of soccer were taught. This consisted mainly of dribbling, passing and tackling. Intramural basketball was enlivened by the splendid coaching on passing, guarding, and shooting which was given in class. The excellent way of giving fundamentals of baseball and volleyball has helped greatly in getting more girls to participate in these intramural sports. Deck tennis was a new sport here this year. Although none of us have mastered the game as yet, we promise to give much more competition in the future. Excellent form for track was gained in the coaching given by Miss Smith. In order not to lay too much stress on sports, much of the time was spent in giving gym- nastics. These were for correcting any defects which were to be found in the physiques oi the girls. Much good has been derived and we give the credit to Miss Smith for the fine instruction she has given. Tumbling Team Melieddic. Mohler. Jerome. Friesner. Hawk. Bender. Griftis. Blake. Haines. Soeher. Louth. Coach Klendworth. Heaton. DeMoss, Agler. Linser. Hughes. Burley. Bowden. MeMillen. The tumbling class was a special gym class which met on Mondays and VVednesdays during the activity period. Owing to the fact that this team is newly organized they have done nothing but practice this year. Since there were no Seniors on this team all will be back and he able to give a good exhibition next year. Ilere's wishing them luck! Pnffw T7UFIlf.Ij-f'l'f9
