Fashion And now for the grand finale, something that's always in style and here to stay, jean jackets! Whether they're all blue or just halt bIue,half gray, they're still jean jackets and they're here to stay. ' A Van Horn Style Fashion plays an important role in teenagers lives. It may be THE most important thing in your life. As you get up in the morning, you think of what to wear, how to do your hair dif- ferent, and whether or not to wear stone- washed jeans or your faded, bleached jeans tbelieve me, there is a differencej. Falcons have many different styles this year. Some may stay up half the night making friendship bracelets to give out the next day. Friendship bracelets started before this year, however they came back just as mini-skirts came back. The theory that, History repeats itseIf is very true. l'm sure you've seen the earrings with a key clinging onto it, as if afraid to lose it, or perhaps you've noticed that wrestling shoes are not just for wrestling. Time has it's moment in fashion too, for in- stance, you never walk around with just one watch on your wrist. You might then see a few watches clinging onto someones' ankle. And now for what you've all been waiting for . . . Spuds Mackenzie! Shirts, hats, stuffed animals, posters, and towels. . Thinkin' about a new hair cut? What about getting it shaved on just the sides? How about making lines from one side of your head to the other side? Iahad, just one hour Ielt and was still beaming about it when I realiz- ed where and what it was: geometrygon the third floor. Vthth a grunt and leap up the stairs,VI was off. It was funny how five minutes oouldiseem' so long in sixth hour at 2:15 but it seemed almost instan- taneous when you have that same amount of time in the halls. . ' ' A I glanced down at my watch as I approached the vending machines in the long hall and it' informed me I had two minutes left. It seemed that I had plen- ty ot time, but when I looked back up my hopes dropped as my mouth did.'The entire hallway was nothing more than a carpet of student's heads,mov- ing along gradually. It looked as if that mass of students was one that Moses oouldn't even part. Shrugging my shoulders twith ninety-seconds Ieflj. I he d my breath and dove into the slow-moving mob. When my watch approached the thirty second mark and l'd only made it halfway down the hall, the crowd started thinning as the result of everyone finally trying to get to class. Seeing more and more ages, I sprinted and dodged, making it to the third r just as the bell screamed. Need ess to say, I'm in the overtime room now writing' this. That live minutes is not always as it seems.
