m6dlC6lAfll0lL N, P ' X x xi ,yy l Al MR. EDWARD CALVIN WILSON Calvin Wilson was born on September 5, 1940, at Frenchton, Upshur County, West Virginia. He attended Buckhannon-Upshur High School and while there the sport he participated in was baseball. Remaining loyal, in spirit, to his Old Alma Mater, he was very proud of the fact that Buckhannon-Upshur was the Class AAA football champions of West Virginia for the year 1963- 64. After graduation, Mr. Wilson entered West Virginia Wesleyan College. While at college he played baseball and was a member of the track team. Having had a great interest in facts he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree and majored inmathematics and minored in Physics. Mr. Wilson is one of our busiest teachers at Van and teaches the following classes: Algebra I and Il, Plane Geometry, Physics, and instructs a special class in Solid Geometry and Trigo- nometry. He has been a member of our faculty for two yea.rs. He is a member of the Masonic Lodge and is an assistant councilman in The Boy Scouts of America. His hobbies are varied, but most of all he enjoys hunting and playing golf. He and his wife, Loretta, reside at Washington Avenue in Madison, West Virginia. The Vancourier Staff is happy to dedicate this annual to Mr. Wilson and wish him the best of luck.
