Mr. Van-Cove High Stephen Walker Stephen Walker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill W'alker, is Mr. Van-Cove High for 1979. Stephen has been chosen by the high school faculty, who have selected him on the qualities of citizenship, scholarship, leadership, and school spirit. Stephen finishes his four years at Van-Cove High School as salutatorian of his class with a 3.8 grade point average. Stephen has been involved in FFA, and in basketball. He has also been elected to Who’s Who, and is a charter member of the Beta Club. All these qualities, achievements, and ability go together to make Stephen Walker Mr. Van-Cove High. Kay Stroud, daughter of Mrs. Ruby Stroud, has been chosen by the Van-Cove faculty to represent the school as Miss Van-Cove High. During her four years in high school, Kay has been actively involved in FHA, holding the offices of Federation Secretary and President of her local chapter. She has also served as a charter member and officer of the Beta Club, class officer, Hornet Editor, and basketball manager. Kay has been able to remain on the honor roll for all four years.
