Superintendent’s Message As another school year comes to a close, I look back with pleasure to the accomplish- ments of the last three years. As you seniors leave this school and continue to make your place in this world may I offer you this thought? Whatever your hands find to do, that do with all the might that is in you. That is the lesson of all experience. Face every task with a determination to conquer its difficulties and never let them conquer you. No task is too small to be done well. Aim high. The 69 Hornet As we look back on our three years in senior high school, we see one person who stands out above all others. He has worked hard in every possible way to better Van-Cove High School, and in return, he has earned the respect and admira- tion of the entire student body. In his own special way, he has shown us the patience and understanding, which we think has helped us become better persons. As a token of our appre- ciation we, the senior class, proudly dedicate the 1969 Hornet to Mr. Arthur Pharr.

Hagler, Superintendent The local school board serves the fundamental purpose of carrying out the provisions of the legislative statues and the regulations of the state board of education as these relate to the Van-Cove schools. It is through the exercise of these broad general powers that the school board here at Van-Cove has a great opportunity to serve the children of Cove and Vandervoort.
