 DEDICA TION We, the senior class of Van-Cove High, do hereby dedicate our yearbook “The Hornet” to Mrs. Opal Siegler for the tireless way she has prepared our meals for many years. We cannot repay all that she has done for us, nor can we ever begin to do so. In these simple words, we hope that she will understand the appreciation of the Senior Class of '68.

The scholastic attainments of all grades in this school have been well above the average on the whole. Many of you are thinking of continuing your education in college or trade school after finishing here. This school, or any other high school that you attend, only gives you the basis for building a college education or a professional or business career. The things you say, and the things you do in later life will depend upon your education and training in early life. You must not expect immediate success or immediate acknowledgment of your service to humanity, but be persevering in all things and petty in nothing. Grow, train, and improve yourself to where you will be big enough in mind, in spirit, and in nobleness of character, to where you will see no slights, accept no insults, cherish no jealousy, and in your heart admit no hatred. You will then be respected, admired and loved by your fellow men, and your memory will be cherished by posterity. L.O. Hagler
