Poi Students of Van Buren High School possess a certain quality that no other school even comes close to matching. This is the spirit of the Pointers, or Pointer Pride. Memories of our school days as a stu- dent from Van Buren will long be remem- bered, whether it's seeing Mark Douglas make four touchdowns in a game and out- running the whole opposing team or Joe Ray Jones making that impossible basket. It might be seeing Coach Don Dixon yelling from the sidelines or hours spent preparing for Mrs. Grace Barlow's final English exam. No matter which memory is the fondest, they will all be special memories for us to treasure forever. For VBHS's seniors, time will not easily be forgotten. Growing into a bigger world with bigger goals won't let them forget that they were once a Pointer.
