Students take time out for leisure A Time for Keeping was the foot- ball homecoming theme of 1977. Time is worth keeping to students of VBHS. As the clock chimes, days of student life in high school end for seniors, continue for juniors, and begin for sophomores. Seniors begin to prepare for the respon- sibility of their future, juniors are awaiting the big event, graduation, and sophomores enjoy the thought of only two years to go. Representing VBHS takes up a great deal of time from its dedicated students. The musical girls singing line, the Treblettes travel the community to entertain towns- people. Politicians greet some students to keep in touch with how young people are growing up. Time also plays an important role in . w l N N fx lunch hours, breaks, and the after school rehearsals for the different organizations at VBHS. Almost everyone enjoys the time spent at VBHS. Struggling in the line at the con- cession stand, screaming out your spirit at pep rallies and still trying to buckle down and study. When all adjustments are made, and preparations planned, students need a little Time out for themselves. lVlr. for Bill Colvard, chemistry teacher, instructs one of his classes as they fly paper airplanes that were built students to better understand the make-up of atoms.
