FOREWORD THE PANTHER OF 1949 is presented as a continuation of the policy established by its predecessor, THE PANTHER of 1948. This policy as stated, and which met with so much success last year, is that high school boys and girls enjoy their high school years, and desire and appreciate a medium which will enable them to better remember the events and activities, both curricular and extra-curricular, of those pleasant years. Pictures are a universal language, one of which a reader never tires, and again we have endeavored to include at least some sort of picture of every individual connected in any way with our school system. If this Annual is larger, more inclusive, and of a better quality than last year’s Annual (and we sincerely hope it will be) you may give the credit to the experience we gained with last year’s edition and to the hours of work and planning put into it, as well as to the fine co-operation given us by all who were asked to help us by supplying us with pictures. We sincerely thank those who helped us in any way, and repeat as of last year that we hope you can say “not bad’ after you have examined your copy of this publication. THE STAFF
