beginning! First impressions are lasting . . . , So the old story goes. How did we perceive Valpo initially? Those of us who were newcomers were filled with anticipation. Wanting to experience all that was here While we gave a part of ourselves. Some of us watched; others jumped right in. However we started, Ourvfirst year would set the tempo of future years, For those returning, the time was spent with old friends. And how we asked all those questions . e e . How many more autumns will I spend here? Where did the time go? Why did I return? Some of us didn't. But new friends filled the empty spots. Whoever we were, we created a new Valparaiso Community. Each of us, faculty, students, and staff offered his talents For the growth of the individuals within our community, By the time we read this Those talents will have combined to change each of us.
