Action continued even at half-time as our western homecoming theme was portrayed by the band's music and formations of guns, bows, and arrows and by the Crusaderettes' marching. The victorious crowd celebrated Saturday night at the all-school dance in the Union and the alumni dance at the armory. Sunday afternoon final views of the house and dorm decorations and tours of the dormitories were made as alumni and students ended their week- end, relishing the memories that were not soon to be forgotten. Clnfzktmm Christmas at Valparaiso starts early. Because of the religious significance and because vacation be- gins a couple Weeks before Christmas, Advent ini- tiates our Christmas spirit. Decorations reveal this all over campus. The Chapel, Union, library, dorms, and fraternity houses glisten with colored lights, candles, ornaments, and evergreens. Snowladen stu- awww' dents echo the spirit in cheery Christmas greetings and conversations. The major Christmas activities began the Saturday before vacation with the annual Sno-Ball dance. This year hundreds of students danced under glisten- ing snowballs and snowflakes at the Union. The breathtaking and reverent Messiah was presented by the University Choir and Orchestra to proclaim the Christmas message.
