To record the events Which occur at a school during a certain year is the task of a yearbook. These events in themselves are not unique for they have occurred year after year on every campus in our country. The unique- ness lies in the studenfs interpretation of these VALPARAISO events. Whether he fights off sleep in an over- heated classroom or staunchly refuses to crack a book until finals; Whether he lives in a chap- ter house, apartment, or residence hall; Whether he is active in campus activities or de- nounces them as outlets for extroverts and hypocrites; Whether he participates in athlet- ics, waves a pennant in the stands, or disregards the program completely, he expresses his reace tion to the phases of University life and its events. This is the record of Valparaiso Uni- versity and the events Which occurred in 19 5.8. Your interpretation of this book Will be de- termined by What Valpo means to you.
