22 This past year has been indeed a busy and an exciting year for Gloria. After taking top honors here, she repeated the same performance on July 6 in Michigan City by becoming Miss Indiana. Next came Atlantic City and the Miss America contest where she won first prize, a $1,000 scholarship, in the preliminary talent contest for her satirical sketch on uMy Hero? When asked what impressed her most at Ate lantic City, Gloria replied that the girls in the contest, mostly college students, were all so friendlye- Every girl was a winner?
