Take Fm; Place. As in years gone by, Valpo once again dressed in Homecoming Best. The house decorations of the frae tetnities, sororities, and dormitories carried out a marine theme in addition to the usual team prepping slogans. Capturing the trophies in the house competition were the Gammas, the O Chis and Dodge Hall. During the parade on Saturday morning, the floats displayed yards of crepe paper, theusands of paper nap- kins, and ingenious mechanical devices. In this category, the Alpha Phis and Lambda Chis literally led the parade. Also included in the traditional Homecoming pro- cession were high school bands, commercial floats, novelties, and special units. Our Homecoming Besr was appropriate and in style despite the menace of the flu bug. 19
