SufaeniHfatcUrit G. Warren Phillips has been the head of the Va Iparaiso school system for the past eleven years. He deserves a great deal of recognition for the outstanding way in which he has performed the many duties of his office. Not only is Mr. Phi I lips faced with managing the city school system, he is faced with the prob- lem of over-crowded schools due to the ever-in- creasing population. We are fortunate to have the very distinguished Mr. G. Warren Phillips as superintendent of Valparaiso city schools. Mr. Phillips received his A. B. from DePauw University and hisM. S. from Indiana University. ’Piitttifial Mr. Telle not only is the principal of VHS, but a man whom students admire and trust. He has a personal interest in all the students. Each day presents new problems to our principal, and it is up to him to determine the best possible so- lution . We think everyone will agree that Mr. Telle does his job with sincerity that cannot be sur- passed. We are very proud of our principal, Mr. King Telle . Mr. Telle received his A. SevieUwiei, xvid SducaticHi More recognition is due to these three prominent business men of Valparaiso, who play such an important part in the management of the school system. These men, Orval Burns, president; Reg Hildreth, secretary; Gus Marks, treas- urer, have carried out their duties very efficiently and we appreciate their efforts. Mrs. Peters, another new- comer, is a receptionist and sec- retary to Mr. Phillips. She also helps Mrs. Rickard and goes about her many duties in a pleasing manner. Grace Rickard, Mr. Phillip ' s very efficient secretary, has been with him for twenty-six years. She is always happy just helping others and we, teachers and stu- dents alike, are proud of her. Mrs. Price, a newcomer to V.H.S., became Mr. Tel I e ' s sec- retary last fall . She has adapted herself in a way that is admired by everyone and we are happy to welcome her to Valparaiso High School .
