Doolittle I. Wieland, M, Cook. 1 DRAMATICS CLUB Along with taking care of their regular studies in high school, some students have a desire to enter into dramatics. This desire can be satisfied by joining the Dramatics Club. The activities of this club include learning about the theater and make-up, as well as presenting plays to the student body. Each member is given a role in one or more plays, and after it has been learned and rehearsed enough, which includes rehearsals in the evening and in the morning before school, the play is put on before the student body. These plays give the members of the club the experience of speaking and performing be- fore a group as well as that of learning the tricks of the theater. As a project, the club made lantern slides to illustrate a story which the members had written in Spanish. Then, at their annual dance, the Carnival , this story was read and the slides were shown as an added tea- ture. This proved to make the dance a big success. I . ibm,
