It is a Christian organization with a devo- tional part in every meeting and the custom of having a minister for a guest speaker once a semester. This club meets regularly once a month, but it also has special called meetings. A boy who wishes to become a member of the I-li-Y so expresses his desireg and when he has taken the Hi-Y pledge, he becomes a member officially. The officers for the com- ing year are always elected at the end of the preceding year. The club for the most part is very active. These activities include the formal installa- tion of officers and induction of new mem- bers, a father and son banquet, the sponsor- ing of a dance which was called the Stag Drag this year, attending a church as a group, and having a swimming party. Dur- ing the summer, the club also sends two of its members to the national conference in Cleveland. Kozlenko, B Selman FUTURE HOME-MAKERS OF AMERICA knowledge and interest in home economics, the Future l-lomemakers of America Club was formed three years ago. This year the club is going stronger than ever. The F. H. A. is a national organization, and this year our club sent delegates to the convention at Buck Creek, Indiana. As a re- sult, Marilyn Bundy returned with the honor of having been elected district treasurer. During the year, the club has met every other Wednesday after school in the small room off the foods laboratory. This room is really the office of Mrs. Fields, the new Home EC teacher and sponsor of this organization. This year the club has participated in such activities as having two dinners, spon- soring a semi-formal dance which was called the Gold Diggers' Ball , preparing a box to send to Korea, and holding a Mothers Day Tea.
