SENIORS Progress was the keynote in the ' 49 graduating senior class history. What a difference can be observed along all lines between the freshman class of ' 46 and the same group with their high school work now com- pleted. For the most part they have not only gained knowledge available in books, but also a deeper outlook of life brought on by numerous experi- ences never to be forgotten. School dances, proms, formals, athletic games, and other extra-curricular activities, all played a part in enriching our school days beyond the actual classroom procedure. In the fall of ' 48, the following students were elected to represent the class in their last year in V.H.S. The officers chosen were as follows: Ken- neth Dobbins, president; Jack Bailey, vice-president; Joyce Vietzke, secre- tary; and Mary Griffin, treasurer. 14
