Drafting the School Paper To get the information on all branches ol activity in the high school is the job ot the Valpost slatt, which piilylishes the school paper under the sponsors ship ol Mrs. ljintna H. Poor. These future journalists clo all the writing, proofreading, copy reading, sorting, and mailing of the hi-weelily paper. Fach stall first receives a semesf ter ol training in journalism and then is prerared to do the actual Work on the paper. Money is raised for financing this project by selling suhscriptions and ad- vertisements to local businesses. All the soliciting and collecting is done by the stall. For many years the Valpost has received a lirst class rating from the Na- tional Scholastic Press Association, and a number ot ineinbers in the past have qualified for the International Quill and Scroll. A holiday issue of six pages was issued this year before Christmas, and also a senior edition at the close ol school. Journalism Staff 29
