The Vall'ant P F A Chapter Yo 2o1 was organlzed Seotember, 194s with Q5 charter members Bllly Tom Barnes, Pre icent, Jerry Ta lor, Vice President, Donald Jhlte Secretary, Henr uest, Treasurer, Gene Lewis, Reporter, Ruel Bain, Bob Childress, Joe Pat Coyne, George floyd, Billy Fuller, Thomas amble, B ll, E Garrett, Billy Hamilton, John uayrie, James rone,vell, Troy Punt, Bill, Ingram, Travis Leushner, Ro, Lucas, Thomas IcY1nney, ill loton, Kenneth Pound, James Sanders, Burnie Setzer, Charles Slat on, Gene Stafford, Robert Stevens, Weaver Strickland, Jack Pfler, Gene Vhltfield, Fletcher Williamson, Tuandell lilson, and lilbzrn Reeves Je received our charter in November of this year Je atten deo the county fair at Idabel in September, 1945 Two delegates, Bill Fuller and Ruel Daln attended the state convention at St1l1 later Oklahoma in April of 1945 Je had oar chapter picnic in May at Da1e's bin on Glover River Ruel Bain was chosen most outstanding member of that year by our advisor, Nilllam Ncafee In September of 1946 we attended the county fair at Tdabel, we had an F F A exhibit Je entered a livestock team at Oklaho ma State Fair at Oklahoma City in September The 'embers of this team were Ruel Lain, Burnie Setzer, and Donald White, Ruel also judged as an individual ln tre crain wudfinu contest Je attend a lxvestock 3udginL team Ruel a n, Eugene Reeves, and Donald Jhlte Je olaced second le had our first queenfs race in April, 1947 Toyce holden was elected as queen Our first Father and Son Banquet was held Avril 15 1947 Je attended the Interscholastlc meet in Stillvat r, April TQ 1947 and entered three iud 1nr teams a praln Juc nk team con sistlnp of Denry Tahon, Jim Poneywell, and Eu ene Reeves wh ch placed 7th The livestock team consisted of Ruel aln, Bill: lom Barnes, and Thomas hcYinney The dairy team consisted of Burnie Setzer, Troy Hunt, and Donald Vhite Donald Ihite was chosen the outstanding member of 1947 Two delecates, Qlll Fu ler and Ruel Pain attended the state convent lon Nay 28, at Oklahoma Cltv Je had 27 exhibits at the county fair in Seotember Je had 18 nlacinrs, 9 firsts, 6 seconcs, and 3 thirds Je had a chapter progect this year consisting of 1 acre of souash, one acre of vatermelons, 1 acre of beans, 1 acre of cu curbers, and 5 acres of peanuts Ne made a net profit of S211 44 One of our Chapter offlcers, ugene Reeves, was elected Sec retary of the Little Dlxle Organization of r P A officers Aovis ors Ie plan to attend the lnterscholastic Ieets at Stillwater in Aprll, also at Durant r ' - 4 J- - 0 o A L L 0 .
