Cyrus Vance of the United States and Andrei Gromyko of the Soviet Union meet in Geneva, Switzerland, to begin a lengthy series of SALT negotiations between the world ' s two super powers. Voters approved it by a two-to-one margin. THE TRIPLE CROWN 6-10-78.
