Junior Varsigf Soccer Successful The j.V. Soccer team, coached by Mr. Carl Botti, compiled a 4-5 rec- ord to finish fourth in their division. In a very competitive league, the team was outclassed by V.S. South. The high point of the season was the 1-O victory over Lynbrook. This was the first time that a team coached by Mr. Botti defeated the always tough Owls. Defense was the Spartans' trademark. Co-Captain Alex Taliana led the defense by playing goalie and halfback, with Steve Curtiss playing fullback.
