We learned that we Couldn't understand opera because it was sung in a foreign language ...that putting your fingers in your mouth gives your vowels a purer tone . . . that singing in unison means that everyone sings the same notes and that harmony means everyone sings something different . .. We learned that Engle- bert Humperdink really died hundreds of years ago-and that Hansel and Gretel wasn't merely a fairy tale.
