We learned that we Couldn't understand opera because it was sung in a foreign language ...that putting your fingers in your mouth gives your vowels a purer tone . . . that singing in unison means that everyone sings the same notes and that harmony means everyone sings something different . .. We learned that Engle- bert Humperdink really died hundreds of years ago-and that Hansel and Gretel wasn't merely a fairy tale. We learned to sing ourselves, no matter how horrible we sounded, and to ap- preciate great singers-even if they weren't the Beatles. Mrs. Catherine Zankowich

And your mother telling 'gli 5 i Miss Sheila Schoor you that cutting off your ear will not help you to pass art? And the self-portrait that looked like Yogi Bear? To the talented few, art brings enjoyment, but the rest .. F , will have to learn to live with stick figures. 'QP 1 Mr. Sheppard Somers Oh, Bess, what a lovely um . . . er . . .
