Under the direction of Miss Lorraine Nagel, the staff encourages the students to develop and display their poetry, prose, and artwork. Printed as well as compiled by the students, the Spectrum reflects the literary and artistic creativity of young Spartans. Gold, Spomar The tests that you studied for, the books that you actually read and the extra-curricular activities that you slaved for, all were worth it, the National Honor Society chose you as an outstanding Spartan. The Honor Society is not only an honorary organization, but also a hard-working one. The tutorial service available to all North High students, was or- ganized by Secretary Barbara Casino and sponsor Mrs. Selma Gold, and was provided by Honor Society members. To make the admission requirements uniform throughout the district, the Spartan Chapter was forced to lower the 90W requirement for jun- iors to an 8515 average. Because of this change, North High now has the largest membership in its history.
