Administration Miss Braasch Miss Braasch is Curriculum Coordinator at Central High School. She is responsible for in- tegrating the courses taught at Central, assist- ing new teachers in the orientation program, and serving as a liaison between schools in matters concerning school policy, educational policy, and curriculum. Because of Miss Braasch's efhcient work our years at Central 'Urn' Mr, Keller Mr. Keller, Central's assistant principal, is loved and respected by every student in Cen- tral. Affectionately known as B.K., Mr. Keller is well-acquainted with the student body. Be- sides handling his regular duties Mr. Keller travels with the school Entertainment Troupe. Whether he is scolding a student for cutting or just saying hello, Mr. Keller always has a warm smile which lets you know that he's proud to be a part of Central. We're proud and glad he is too! have been pleasant and orderly. Mr. Kurfess The man in charge of the educational pro- gram at Central is the Principal, Mr. Kurfess, who acting for the general welfare, plays a major role in shaping the lives of Centralites. He is the one who must be aware of all the varied activities of the school, both curricula and extra-curricula, and preserve an impartial point of view in all the matters that affect faculty, staffs, and students. nirfssrvk X, ' Mr. Udall Mr. Udall, Principal of Central High School District 111, has seen Valley Stream grow from a town served by one secondary school to one requiring four. He recommends teachers for the approval of the Board of Education and heads the Committee on Public Relations of the Board of Education. With characteristic enthusiasm he has endorsed new programs, including Driver Education and the Automotive Shop. Mr. Udall is sure to solve the present problem of over- crowding quietly and efficiently. Ha-w..,..f f

It holds a public meeting once each month. Hiring school personnel and preparing the annual budget are two of the duties of these dedicated citizens. The extensive building pro- gram needed to take care of our increasing enrollment will be the board's chief concern in the immediate future.
