SUNRISE To this Senior Class the rising sun from sunrise to noon signifies their advancement from Junior High to graduation from the Senior Class We approached junior High with cur IOSIIY and shyness but aflame with ambition like the crimson sun as it cautiously peeps over the dark unknown horizon At the next glance the sun had in a swift spurt of energy leaped from hiding into full view as we had jumped from junior High into Senior High There it rested sparkling gay turning from anxious crimson to rosy pink seeming to enjoy its moment but tremblmg to go on During the next two years our goal was like a Sunbeam dancing just beyond our grasp as we struggled to attain it but maintain our balance on the upward path The sun too seemed suspended by now it had managed a familiar yellowness and as it fought to reach the zenith it lit the earth before it with anticipation Then surreptitiously our goal was upon us we were sen iors This was the climax for which we had fought We looked back recalling our hopes and heartaches the storms and clouds we passed through remembering all the tests that were set before us and all the trials we had to stand The brilliancy of the sun blinds us as we are blinded by the excitement of our yoy and triumph As we had made friends so had the sun warmed the earth and its companions High in the heavens the sun our symbol glows and soon we will know the soft amber hue of afternoon adulthood success and triumph understanding and contentment Then as our day draws to an end we will leave a trail of memories behind DEBORAH BEADLE 3 . . . . , . , 7 . . . . . . , , .
