I slept well l1ast night, in fact too well, for I awakened today at one. As I walked through the lobby to the dining room I noticed that the television was on, and the people were looking at the American All Stars of I962. As I edged in, much to my amazement, I saw Mike Zanardi playing short stop, Eddie Stanton playing third, Dave Fresia at first, and tlae first woman of major league b1all, judy Ttabucchi playing second... I wonder who's taking cate of her twin boys? In the coach's box I noticed a tall man who resembled someone I had seen before, sure enough it was Pete Hopkins. During the late afternoon I thought I would take a walk on the streets of gay Paree I bumped into Sandra, Audrey, and jo Ann They told me they had decided to take a trap, so they left their husbands with the children They invited me to attend the dance premier of our ballerina Nancy Griswold that same night at the theatre We decided to have dinner first, so we started on our way As we were nearing the restaurant, we saw an accident ahead An ambulance was driving aap out jumped a doctor, a nurse, who I noticed was my old friend Eleanor Saffery, and mother girl who was running aroaand taking notes Seems this was Arlene Ressler, busy at her work of being a medical secretary After dinner, we proceeded to the theatre As we neared the back entrance, we saw a truck bringing scenery, it was Zacks Nursery Truck, apparently Murray has ex tended has fathers business to France As we entered the lobby we met Bob Hale, the head usher who personally showed us to our seats While I was waiting, I decided to go back stage to see Nancy As I entered her dressing room who should be there but Pat Dee who explained that she as teaching in a French grammar school Everything was going on at once The hairdresser, who was Ruth Segee, and the dressmaker, Mary Lombardi both were working frantically As we all talked over old times, I noticed a beautiful mink coat hanging on the door I asked Nancy where she got at and she explained that at came from an old friend Delores Sweeney who is now part owner of Perrys Mink Market As I returned to my set I met Francis Davis and his wife erry who are celebrating their tenth wedding anniversary with a trip around the world As I reached my seat, I noticed three beautiful girls around one man without hesitation I glanced and noticed it was none other than Nedd Moekler I-Ie told us that he was vacationing an Paras before resuming his studies at a medical school The show was wonderful, Nancy proved her ability to dance like a true ballerina After the show we decided we needed a little night life, so we went to a club There we saw Betty fomstoek and laer husband Bob She said she had yearned him in France where he is stationed Sitting at a table nearby was Gloria Alexander, who told us she had married a multi millionaire, and that they are spending their honeymoon an France before returning to the states The orchestra was exceptionally good As we watched we recognized two players, Bob Benson and Robert Yuppe During intermission they stopped to talk to us They said they had been pl ayang in the band for three years As the lights dimmed the feature formance she explained that Marlene Pearson w as going to be the feature singer at the claab an the near future oan also told me that Marlene received a letter from Lizzie Kurze who as now making her home in Panama w ith Iaer husband who is stataoned there As we left the restaurant we bumped into Bob Calamari who as now manager of a chain of First National Stores in France I said good bye to the girls and took a taxi to the hotel I noticed joe Scaglia sitting in the cocktail loaange He told me he w as arranging a tour for Doris Day, since he had taken oyer the job as agent for her It was getting pretty late so I excused myself and left to go to my room Before going aap I stopped for a magazine of which lucy Pagano is now editor Th model on the coycr seemed familiar and as I glanced a second time I noticed it was Gordon Stearns Before turning out the lights and goine, to sleep I glanced through the book I noticed an article about Dolores Smith who is a secretary in New York, and had lust won a free trip to France I hope dear diary that she h as the same good fortune as I have had these past few days in meeting all my olcl friends JLAN INIALLARNE LLCY PAGAINO 23 1 1 A L L 5 r v . .
