lupperleun Dorus Ann Ruth wulls her grade f 90 un Druuers lraunung to Dot Ihounas Shurlex bnupp wulls hockey tuck No 7 to Betts Schex l'I0sI Dorus Yowels wulls a bottle of peroxude to Niaxune Lupperleun so wont haxe to use clorox Dorus Kuper lease the last bell for home room to bmucho bammue lool leases her :unnual staff po utuon Senuor edutor to some hard workung trutter WS-r Hzffory of the Clam 0 19 1 The Senuor class of 91 entered Valley un the fall of 1947 as green as the greenest grass but eager to learn all the t was to know about the school that they were to attend for the next four years W were greeted by a party guven by the Senuors so that we could get acquaunted wlth all the upper classmen The remaunder of the year we spent un attenoung the football and basketball games and fo mung fruendshups that were to help us along the path of hugh school By the tume we were sophomores we felt that vue knew all there was to know about hugh school lufe There were partues, athleruc attractuons and the usual socnal calendar that domunates hugh school ctuwutues Durung our unuor year un order to earn the much needed money for the annual unuor Senuo Prom, we gase a Sock Hop that was quute a suc cess We presented the Senuors wuth theur Prom and to the musuc of Bob M1tchell's orchestra we all danced wuth our best guy and gal to all the old favorute tunes As an early hughlught of our Senuor year we at last receuved our class rungs The carefully casual aur wuth whuch we dusplayed them unducated how proud of them we were Next came the Senuor play, The Man Who Came to Dunner, featurung Ruch ard Rundall and Dorus Chusm Then all plans began for the annual Chrustmas Dance In the beautuful Grand Ball Room of the Seelbach Hotel, the Senuors and theur guests danced to the lultung musuc of French Spues Orchestra as they played the varuous no breaks and modern tunes The Senuors chose Harbor Lzghts as theur no break Our very own Senuors were chosen as Merry Chrust mas, Blanche Allen, and Noel, Pat Rooney The lust of umportant actuvutues un our Senuor year could never be complete wuthout mentuon of the N CKC football champuonshup that was made possuble by the vsonderful playung of our Senuor football players The Cuty Invutatuonal Basketball Tournament also provuded a feather for the Valley s sportung cap when she came up second un the cuty tournament ratung The annual staff began work early un the school year After selectung our members of the staff we worked long and hard untul wuth a sugh of reluef we completed the book and sent ut off to press The Senuor trup was all that we had planned ut to be, and We topped off our last year wuth a suc cessful banquet Then all eyes focused on Class Day program, Baccalaureate, and GRADUATION All of these uncudents made our four years at Valley a most unforgettable peruod un our luves Page eleven .l ' 7 ' s . .
