The Twelfth Year We didn’t think we’d make it, But here we are at last; Waiting to get our diplomas And thinking of things gone past. Our classes are over; our books are closed, And now our future we face. We have the knowledge to meet our needs And to walk in a steady pace. As we walk the halls of our school We think of the memorable years, Of the contests, losses, and victories; Of all our laughter and tears. Now that we won’t be walking these halls, We find we’re not eager to leave, We’re ready to take what the future will give; And endeavor in what we believe. Think of the many remarkable times: The ones we’ve had in school, So much fun is to be remembered And knowledge was the simple tool.
