Kathy Gram and JoAnn Brinkley were elec¬ ted as freshmen cheerleaders. Joyce McElwee was chosen to represent us in the homecoming queen contest, and Dallas May won the baseball trophy for having the highest batting average of the year. Kathy Gram and Jimmy Trimble were chosen as class favorites, and Miss Jean Lowry and Mrs. Joan Mackey were our class sponsors. Rodney Charles Miano Margaret Anntheresa McCollum James Arnold McComb Joyce Lynn McElwee John Hudson was the delegate to Boys’ State. On April 22, we entertained the seniors with a prom entitled “April Love.” The arrival of our class rings presented an exciting moment, and we presented the first “Little Miss Bath County” contest. David Kershner and Kathy Gram were chosen as class favorites. Senior officers were David Kerslmer, president; Dotty Dean, vice-president; and Glenda Jenkins, secretary-treasurer. Dotty Dean, the senior football candidate, was selected homecoming queen. The seniors sponsored the Holiday Dance, a boys’ fashion show, and presented the second “Little Miss Bath County” pageant.
