I, Bobby Fieshman, w ill my love for mathematics to Georgie Simpson. I, Audrey Ford, leave my artist ' s brushes to Myrna Grimes. I, Basil Fry, will my low golf score to Willie Green. I, Bobby Fry, leave my women to Jimmy Brinkley. I, Ivar Gram, will my big appe¬ tite to Pinky Morris, who eats more than Ido. I, Jimmy Gum, will my center- field position to Tommy Stanley. I, Pearl Gum, w ill my seat in the senior class to Carrie Jane Jenkins. I, Claudia Gwin, will my Bath County map to Mr. Lott. I, Bobby Hicks, leave my modest, quiet, and retiring disposition to Ed Lowery. I, Jimmy Hively, will my com¬ pass and protractor to Columbus Shiflett. I, Jack Hodge, will my flair for square dancing to Shirley Law, who really doesn ' t need it. I, Betty Jackson, will my hour¬ glass figure to Nancee Snyder. I, Erna Layton, leave my height and guard position on the basketball team to Barbara Jean Law. I, Mary Jane Law, will my for¬ ward basketball position to Jody Layton, because her sister did ' t. I, Nobel McLaughlin, will my giggles to Madge Hmer. I, Evelyn Mick, bequeath my love-life to Charlotte Hodge. I, Ronnie Polane, leave my golf¬ ing ability to anyone who is crazy enough to take up the game. I, Nancy Robertson, will my a- bility to go steady to Millie Ferrell. I, Joey Ryder, will my football ability to Charlie Snyder. I, Alfred Simpson, bequeath my dancing slippers to Lloyd Lindsay. I, Arminta Ward, leave my pres¬ idency of the Tri-Hi-Y to anyone who wants a difficult job. We, the senior class, leave to Mrs. Dalton, our sponsor, our vacant seats , although we know that she will not forget us. We leave our thanks to all the faculty for the understanding help they have given to us and for the knowledge they have taught us. We bequeath to the junior class our ability to win and the vacant throne for the Football Queen. 1966 CENSUS We have just completed the 1 966 census, and this is what we have discovered about the out¬ standing Senior class of I 9 S 6 . Keith Alt has just won the National Contest in reading books. He won by reading one hundred billion Mickey Mouse comic books. Ruth Andrews is the favorite nurse at Virginia Baptist Hospital. All of the patients adore her, especially the men. Betty Burger has completed her first, fame-winning novel, SILENC E IS GOLDEN. Dolly Byrd has just been teaching the home economics boys how to make meat loaf out of sugar and spice and everything that ' s nice. Nelson Carpenter is on a wild game hunt in Africa. He has just caught three toothless lions. Mrs. Raymond Neff has just completed a cruise around the world in a rowboat with one oar. Mrs. Neff is the former Mildred Chaplin. Bettie Cunningham has just sold her first hit record, Hillbilly Bettie is Cornin ' Round the Mountain. Robert Fleshman is now President of the United States. His big task now is appointing all women Cabinet members. Mrs. Tommy Young, the former Audrey Ford, is designing Navy suits for her boy triplets. Basil Fry is basketball coach of the Valley High Hornets. He is teaching them how to dribble with the feet. Bobby Fry is the manager of the Do Nuthin ' Factory in Sleepy Hollow. Ivar Gram , the c onfirmed bachelor , is designing a true bachelor apartment, as he feels mar¬ riage is hopeless because polygamy is unlawful, and he does have a string of sweethearts. Jimmy Gum has just finished killing all the deer in the hills of Mountain Grove with his in¬ vention of bullets that go around curves. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Gum are the proud parents of twelve children. They say, It ' s cheaper by the dozen. Claudia Gwin is the vice-president ' of the Arthur Murray Dance Studios. Bobby Hicks has been named the Greatest Lover in the American Romantic World. Jimmy H i v e 1 y , The Secretary of Agriculture of the United States, says, Feed your cows Bently ' s Burp Bran for more cream in your milk. JackHodge and Charlie Jackson are known as Judge and Pudge, the most famous comedians on television. They are sponsored by the Sudless Soap Company. Betty Jacks on, star of the Madam Butterfl y, is now demonstrating how to sing with the mouth closed. Carolyn L andes is superintendent of the Deleware Memorial Hospital. Her patients call her Smiley, the One Dimple Girl. Mrs. PaulHoover, the former Miss Erna Layton, is touring the world with her husband on a rocketship. Miss Mary Jane Law and Mrs. Lonnie Hodge, the former Miss Nancy Robertson, are owners of the Homestead Beauty Salon. Their special hair cut? The Mambo Twirl. Nobel McLaughlin is co-starring with Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis in the new movie How to Giggle Until You Cry. Mrs. Sonny Folks , the former Evelyn Mick, is running out of names, beginning with S. So far, there is Sonny Jr., Sandra, Susan, Sam, and Sally. Ronnie Polane has just beaten Sam Snead in the National Open Golf Tournament to win $100,000.00 which will make a down payment on a mink coat for his wife, Jeanie. Joey Ryder is the best fullback that Notre Dame has ever had - and why not with Nancy to cheer him on? Alfred Simps on is the owner and pharmacist of the largest drug store in New York. His specialty is children ' s medicine with candy flavors. Arminta Ward is keeping very busy designing clothes and modeling them herself. She has won two National Awards for her creation of the gownless evening strap. 16
