The only thing left is the graduation ceremony with the speeches and receiving the diplomas. Many things seem to be running through my mind. There have been so many memories made here — both good and bad. I remember my freshman year as if it was yesterday. We elected Tania Norville as class president. Kyle Cecil was the vice-president. Melanie Maxfield and Suzie Doubet were the secretary and treasurer. I served as the Student Council Representative. The first thing we did that year was elect Homecoming attendants — Tania Norville and Troy Shreeves. We tried to raise money by selling acrylic ornaments. By our sophomore year we thought of ourselves as regulars in the high school scene. One year down, only three to go. This year we had a completely different set of officers. I was the president and Stacy Wilcoxen was the vice- president. Melanie Maxfield was once again secretary. Toni Mahr and Brad O’Brien were the treasurer and Student Council Representative. This year we took on the task of making donuts and serving pop at all the games available. We tried hard to raise our slim bank account. Homecoming attendants for the sophomore year were Suzie Doubet and Chad Clary. Only one year left after this one. We thought we were ready for anything — prom, conces- sion stands, and even term papers. I guess our class believed in consistency. We elected the same officers as last year — Jo. Stacy, Melanie, Tom and Brad. Karen Owens and Kevin Burkhead were elected Homecoming attend- ants. Everybody was kept quite busy this year. Our efforts paid off, however, as prom was beautiful. The Holiday Inn — Brandywine served as the perfect setting. Stacy Wilcoxen and Tim Hahn were selected as prom princess and prince. Melanie Maxfield and Todd Bolt represented our class at graduation as junior marshalls. The big year finally arrived. No one could believe that we were seniors. Stacy Wilcoxen and Jody Ball reigned over this year's Homecoming festivities. Suzie Doubet and Troy Mason were the senior attendants. We won the first Homecoming game in seven years. Prom was held at the Western Illinois University's Stu- dent Union in Macomb. Troy Mason and Melanie Maxfield were crowned prom king and queen. Baccalaureate was held on Wednesday. May 29. a break from the traditional Sunday date. For Graduation we chose light blue and silver as our colors, a light blue tinted white rose as the flower, and our motto — Yesterday is already a dream and tomorrow is only a vision but, to- day, well lived, makes every yesterday a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope. The past four years have passed quickly. It's going to be sad leaving all of our friends. It is still hard to believe that tonight is the final even- ing as students in this gym. I guess it is almost time to receive my diploma, so I better begin to listen. Tonight is our big night, but it is up to you sitting out there watching to carry on the tradition. Stacy was a friend, we'll always know. She was a girl so bright and sweet. She had a smile no one could beat. We shared some times both good and bad. And now you are happy, yet we are sad.
