Diana Vollmar. Rob Cameron. Seniors 1977- 78 Starting down the long road of secondary educa- tion. the freshman class of 1981 started in first gear with the election of officers. Jill McCracken was elected president; Herb Hahn, vice- president; Angela Bock, secretary; Frank Willis, treasurer; and Julie Cecil, S.C. Representative. Chosen as Homecoming attendants were Teresa Hulet and Todd Walters. The big project of the year was the magazine sale which earned us the first $100 for the treasury. With the help of the class sponsors, Mrs. Susan Klusman and Mr. John Malone, the class of 1981 felt the freshman year was a huge success. 1978- 79 The class of 1981, taking a few more steps toward graduation, started the sophomore year with the election of another fine set of officers having Jill McCracken as president; Jeff McVey, vice-president; Susan Roberts, secretary- treasurer; and Julie Cecil. S.C. Representative. Jody Taylor and Todd Shreves were chosen as the Homecoming attendants. Sometimes the class felt they were in reverse gear, but with the guidance of Mr. John Malone and a new class sponsor, Mr. Jim Franzoni. the class made it through the year. 1979- 80 Drifting on down the road, now as juniors, the class knew what was ahead. At the election of of- ficers, Jill McCracken was once again elected president; Kathy Nelson, vice-president; Angela Bock, secretary-treasurer; Tasi Johnson. S.C. Representative. Homecoming attendants chosen were Kathy Nelson and Scott Johnson to repre- sent the class. Enough money had to be raised so that the class could give the seniors a prom they would always remember. The two money-making projects were the concession stand and a hog raf- fle. Well, the money was made that was needed and a successful prom was planned. Jody Taylor and Raymon Tice reigned as Princess and Prince for the junior class. 1980-81 Once again, starting down the home stretch, the senior class of 1981 started back to school in August. The first item of business was to elect new officers to lead them through the final year of high school. Students elected were Kathy Nelson, president and S.C. Representative: Rob Cameron, vice-president; Diana Vollmar, secretary; and Mike Cecil, treasurer. Senior at- tendants for Homecoming were Tammy Herron and Scott Johnson and Jody Taylor and Raymon Tice were elected Queen and King of Homecom- ing. With the ordering of graduation an- nouncements and caps and gowns, the class pa- tiently waited for the end of the year to arrive. Thanks to everyone at Valley for making what we thought would be such a long trip seem like just a few steps. 18 Senior Activities STACY RENEE BALL — You may think she is shy. but that is definitely a lie.
