A Tribute We the students and faculty of Valley Senior High School salute a true friend, Mr. H. E. Wood, whose honesty and integrity are unsurpassed, whose infinite understanding includes us all, whose untiring efforts have been devoted to achieving the best educational program for Valley. His sincere concern for the many students and teachers under his guidance will long be remembered. A special tribute to you, Mr. Wood! In 1948 Mr. Wood began his duties as principal and classroom teacher in the high school of the newly-formed Spoon River Valley Unit. In 1956 he took the responsibility of superinten- dent and has served in that capacity for the past seven years. 4
