This year we dedicate the Vall-ee-hi to Mr. Sam Maxey - teacher, philosopher, artist, and friend. Mr. Maxey came to Fairview as a teacher in 1945, following his discharge from the army. He is pre- sently teaching Social Studies and Chemistry. Mr. Maxey hails from the mountains of West Virginia where he says they only have two directions - up and down.
