SENIFJR 5PlEl'FI:lErH'l'5 Gliding across the ice with the greatest of ease, displaying grace and beauty, and capturing the crowd with her winning smile is a description of none other than the outstanding senior, Michelle Reed, taking part in her favorite hobby. Although the actions of Michelle on ice appear to be easy, this talent has developed after years of hard work and dedication. Another hobby of Michelle's is dancing, and she also takes a great Interest in music. To pursue this interest, Michelle has been a part of the VHS band, which helped her to promote school spirit. As an International Baccalaureate student, Michelle's plans to extend her studies at the University of Colorado in Boulder. To what shall one compare this girl? To Ginger Rogers dancing with Fred Astaire, to Charo playing her guitar, and to lane Fonda doing aerobics. jennifer Tabola enjoys doing all these activities plus many more. As the Student Body Vice President, member of Mu Alph Theta, FBLA, and honor society, jennifer showed her interest in school activities and promoted much spirit. This multi-talented student spent much of her time these past three years planning and participating in school events. One of lennifer's most memorable events at VHS was being crowned Homecoming princess at our victory game. All of lennifer's hard work has definitely paid off. This senior loves to promote spirit at Valley High. Tammy Walker feels being involved not only promotes spirit but also improves her school life and her grades. Being a participant in cheerleading, track, cross country, National Honor Society, Human Relations, and Sun Youth Forum, Tammy has lifted her spirits and the spirits of others. Tammy is an excellent student and plans-to continue her studies by attending college and majoring in business law. Tammy feels her best memory of VHS will be all the trophies, awards, and state champion- ships that were won in both academics and athletics. Tammy's positive attitude will help her achieve her goals in life. There is not enough room on a page or even enough pagesiln the book to list all the school and community activities that this outstanding senior has been involved ln dunng her high school years. lust to mention a few, Denise Sarnelli was vice president of National Honor Society and Key Club, Editor of the 1983-84 Valhalla yearbook, an ICC rep, a member of Spanish Club, and class cabinet. Denise's contributions to Valley are unlimited. I helped to start the first Hispanic week at Valley, and l'm not even Spanish. Denise plans to take her social skills from organizational work and apply them in the fields of psychology and public relations. Denise, with her warm heart, will always be an excep- tional individual. Activities 267
