N., 1' if it . 5, The Sensational '83-'84 Women's Golf Team once again made Valley High School proud. Their season's record was a remarkable 10-0. The team, coached by Mr. Wayne Schlekewy, won the coveted Southern Zone Championship. The five women team took their skills to the state tournament where they finish- ed off a winning season with a second place trophy. Valley is proud of their hard working, dedicated women's golf team.

The Swim Team was the largest and most powerful ever. This year's team was based on strong competitors. Sonja Lawrence and Daivn Hood were two of the most outstanding of the women's group while the men's team was headed by Tony Mesa. Members practiced at Basic High School Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Their meets were held on Wednesdays. Many of our team's members were also members of the Sandpipers, UNLV's team, which helped them in practice and experience. Coach Vaughn advised the groups.
