You had to be a hard worker and willing to devote your time to being the best. The Valley Vikings couldn't have asked for a more dedicated and determined team. Basketball Team has been a key factor in the success of the basketball program at Valley. Having a strong l.V. squad insures that the great basketball tradition will live one. The major goals of the l.V.'s are to prepare each individual mentally, physically, and socially, to learn from their mistakes, and to believe in themselves and others. Coach Mathis feels that this year's team is very talented and has a lot of potential. sg

Through much competition and hard work, Men's Cross-Country completed its season by winning the Zone title, third in the State, and second in the Sunset Division. Graduating seniors were Scott Miller, Robert Bainbridge, Stephen Laforge, and Bill Pappas. Bill also won the Individual State Championship.
