Second row: Sean lones, Kirk Larson, and Greg Crosby. The Valley Viking Science Fiction and Fantasy Club is really out of this world. This group of students sponsored a Science Fiction Film Festival at the beginning of the 1983 school year, and it was a big hrt with sci-fi fans. The money for showing such films went to publish Valley's science fiction and fantasy news letters. The club is not only interested in science fiction films, but also in literature, games, and documentaries. They can often be found after school discussing their favorite sci-fi news with their advisor, Mr. Zelasko. This energetic club's favorite saying is Beam me up, Scotty!

The Ski and Adventure Club, sponsored by Ms. Doris Caples, got started in November with no need for help in finding members. Meetings were held after school to plan exciting trips to hit the slopes. Their first trip was on Dec. 17 when ski-lovers went to Brianhead. They kept themselves busy in the winter by schussing down any hilltop with snow.
