Knowledge Quick Recall Do you know who the 16th vice president was? How about Nebraska's state motto? If not, ask a Varsity Quiz member. The 1983-84 Varsity Quiz Team was undefeated for the second year in a row. The VQ team since 1982 has won 14 games straight, and they really deserve that record. The team drills Monday through Friday from 1:30-3. They must know things from Roman mythology to state capitals. Top team members Melinda Gushwa scored 255 points, Team Captain Naomi Super, scored 235 points, and Mike Sewell scored 185 points. Varsity Quiz may sound like a lot of hard work, but there are some fun times. Once while a game was going on, Melinda Gushwa spilled water all over the table.
