Valley High's Boys Golf Team will be hard pressed to equal last year's 14 win and 2 loss dual record and 1st place in the Sunset Division. The Vikings also qualified for the Zone Tournament and were one of three teams from the Southern Zone in the State Tour- nament. The Vikings finished fourth in the State Tournament. 'This year's team will be young and inexperienced. The only starter returning this year will be Mike Schindler who carried a 40 average last year. Other returning lettermen include Sophomores John Curtis and Fred Doumani. Other hopefuls include Jeff Haynes, Jeff Fine, John McDonough, Robert Fay, Jim Egidio, john Cwularte, and Phil Ranallif' says Coach Schlekewy. Per- sonally, I feel that there is more depth on the track team this year than last year because of the following people: Lori Vandever, Jackie Snowden, Sharon Guice, Wendy Smith, Denise Williams, Julie Moreno, Jessie Clay, LuLu Jackson, Pat Howard, Ginger Clayton, Monica McNabb, Coleen Power, Lorri Bosen, Cristy Gilleland, Barbara Ri- ley, and Gini Barnes. 'I am looking forward to have a good season because of Schedule the dedication that I have received so far from these young ladies.
