They raise money to buy new uniforms and equipment, The girls attend all of the base- ball games on a rotating basis. They provide spirit and give the ath- letes the confidence and determination that will win the game. The girls have uniforms, which they wear on game days to show spirit. The 1978-79 Valley Vi- king Express is a team made up of a group of players who are newcomers to Valley and those who were here all along. They all have one thing in common: they believe that if they work together they can fulfill their goal of an undefeated season and a state cham- pionship. This is accomplished one game at a time. It is necessary for different individuals to rise to the occasion of different times to lead us through some tough games. Valley will sure miss these seniors who lead us so admirably. Guys -like Lonnie Wiley, Odon Al- varez, Mark Mangiaracina, Dino Petruzzi, Ron Washington, LeGary Stowers, Mike Occhipinti, Doug Chitren, and others will never put on the Red and White for Valley High School again, but their leadership and accomplishments will be re- membered in the halls of Valley High School for a long time.
