wg?- A-,Wills Wqmwf K Ms. Close has taught at Valley for ten years. During this time she has coached volleyball, track, softball, and basketball. She has also advised the Girls' Athletic As- sociation. Presently, Ms. Close, one of the most successful coaches in Nevada, dedicates her energies to coaching Varsity and junior Varsity Girls' Volleyball. Ms. Close's Spik- ing Vikings have captured the State Volleyball Cham- pionships for the past two years, and her junior varsity team has enjoyed equal first place honors since 1976. Ms. Close is a firm believer that attitude and intelli- gence, as well as a high degree of skill, are prime factors in the development of a true champion, both in sports and in life. We consider Ms. Close as a true champion, and there- fore, this Valhalla is published in dedication to her.
