udio-Visual Club ':, 1,:k- Q lv C We 513395 ' The Audio-Visual Club is organized to service audio-visual equipment and vid- eotape special events. They also help teachers learn to use equipment. Mem- bership is open only to those who have had at least one year of training in com- munications and media. Future Business Leaders Cf merica This club is organized to allow students to be ex- posed to various business fieldsg the FBLA meetings are held at several Clark County schools where guest speakers inform the members about different occupations. The students raise money to send con- testants to the state compe- tition. Mrs. Trudy Cunningham advises the club. Stuart Berger The purpose of Gavel Club is to rovide students with the op ortunity and skill? to compete in speech and debate tournaments. The club is ac- tive in both local and out-of-state tournaments. These tournaments serve as a prelude to district and state tournaments. If the teams take first in these tournaments, they can qualify for the na- tional tournament held in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mrs. Susan Marshall is the adviser. 155

Political Science W6 The Political Science Club is a group of students who are not old enough to vote but feel that it is important to be politically active. Some of their activities include sponsorship of candidates debates, and active participation in political campaigns. ln off election years they study the principles of lobby- ing and legislative activities. The Political Science Club is con- sidered an honors club since the members must maintain a 3.0 G.P.A.
