Stuart Berger The purpose of Gavel Club is to rovide students with the op ortunity and skill? to compete in speech and debate tournaments. The club is ac- tive in both local and out-of-state tournaments. These tournaments serve as a prelude to district and state tournaments. If the teams take first in these tournaments, they can qualify for the na- tional tournament held in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mrs. Susan Marshall is the adviser. 155

udio-Visual Club ':, 1,:k- Q lv C We 513395 ' The Audio-Visual Club is organized to service audio-visual equipment and vid- eotape special events. They also help teachers learn to use equipment. Mem- bership is open only to those who have had at least one year of training in com- munications and media.
