Lori Vandever l l On February 27, thirty-three students are cho- sen by their counselors to participate in Career Day with businessmen from the Las Vegas area. Students chose occupations to visit based on their future interests. Students from all of the participating high schools in Clark County meet for registration at seven o'clock before they begin their day. They receive first-hand experience in the occupation they choose.

'wwf S Varsity Quiz is an organization of academically talent- ecl students who are provided the opportunity to com- pete with peers frorn other Las Vegas high schools. The schools are divided into two divisions and the winners of these playoffs will go to the final cham- pionship playoffs in March. The program is televised and also played at schools. This year Valley won Division B. They hope to go on to California and Washington, D.C. This is Adviser Keith Briscoe's first year.
