Boys' and Girls' State are organiza- tions to provide insight into our state government and legislature. Orga- nized by the American Legion, these students were sent to Fallon, Nevada, for a week-long conclave. Delegates, chosen by the counselors, formed their own governing body and elected their peers to political office. Delegates to Boys' and Girls' State travel to Carson City for a final day of sightseeing and politics. These stu- dents then run their mock legislature in the senate and assembly chambers of our representatives there. S.
